Midway through last year, it became apparent that 2016 was going to be Little Jack Marketing’s biggest year yet. Then the Cubbies had to come in and upstage us…
In all seriousness, last year we told you that 2015 was our biggest year so far, and we weren’t lying. We had nearly doubled the size of our business, but now we’re running out of superlatives because in 2016, we far exceeded that achievement and grew our business by 140%.
While some of it may have been due to being in the right place at the right time, we’d like to think that our commitment to delivering marketing results is what really got us there. With our focus on responsiveness we’ve gained the recommendations of many of our current clients, formed new business partnerships, and readers.
Expanding Little Jack
As of late 2016, we are working with nearly 200 businesses in the Chicagoland area, with services ranging from fully integrated marketing strategies to straightforward website support and maintenance.
We’re still a small team, but grew to 10 people this year, which has brought some exciting new talent to our company. We also successfully launched our new ticketing and support system, and addressed over 1,500 requests in 2016! And this is all following the acquisition of our second Chicago-based design and development agency within a 6-month period.
A Marketing Company for Growing Businesses
Through all this, we’re proud to say we’ve continued our commitment to working with businesses of every size, from mom-and-pop companies to nationwide corporations. In our view, too many marketing companies “grow up” and graduate to bigger and bigger clients, while it’s the smallest clients that could benefit the most from their gathered experience.
A New Focus on Comprehensive Planning
With a greater number of clients and a growing team comes great responsibility. Much like Spider Man we’re sitting down and making a game plan, drawing up a costume…ok, maybe not the costume. However we are taking big steps towards being a stronger marketing partner to help our client think further into the future to develop smarter, more goal oriented marketing plans.
One big step in that direction will be the revamping, or rather, revisualization of our services to deliver greater value. We’ve found many businesses tend to view each of their marketing tactics in a box. For instance, we’ll frequently get requests to just start sending emails or writing blog posts with the end goal being “send out emails.” But this view doesn’t take into account the fact that marketing activities all influence each other, and work best in tandem, as a complete marketing system.
This is the year we want to emphasize that every one of our clients, existing and new, needs to reexamine their marketing activities by viewing them as a complete system, and then figuring out what it’s going to take to make that system deliver improved results.
